I was looking through photos on my computer (using Picasa, of course) and realized this photo reminds me of “My Egypt” by Charles Demuth (1883-1935):
This makes total sense since Demuth was also born and raised in Lancaster County. He was inspired by factories and architecture of the area. “My Egypt” is one of his most famous paintings.
Of course Demuth would have done a much better job of portraying the local feed mill, but I like the similarity in subject matter.
This was one of the photos taken out of my car window while driving, so it is a little blurry. I was able to improve it by sharpening the image, adjusting brightness, increasing saturation and adding glow.
