We did lots of walking along the quarry lane, but we also went down into the quarry itself sometimes. In the picture above, you can see the lane along the side of the quarry before it turns and starts dipping down into the quarry hole.
One of the bottom corners in the quarry hole was actually very pretty. It had a lake that was constantly pumped out and there were trees growing. This picture is a nice view of that area from winter 1983.
I felt the colors were really boring in this photo, so I used boost to heighten them.
Playing with Picasa effects is just as much fun now as when I started. Someday I’ll start playing with other programs, but not just yet!
