Aberdeen Harbor is one of the more popular tourist sites in Hong Kong. When we were there in 1990, many of the fishermen and families still lived on boats for much of the year in a floating village. This is no longer the norm but there are still plenty of fishing boats.
This picture had so many elements going on that it was difficult to create a cohesive composition. I used some softening effects to deepen the color and blur the harsh picture elements a bit. I also decided not to crop too closely so the harbor and adjacent boat would give context to the scene.
