Brunswick Town/Ft. Anderson Historic Site includes the remains of an amazingly well-preserved church structure built in the 1700s. It was burned by the British in 1776 and never rebuilt.
I found it impossible to make the photo into an interesting composition until I removed the everyday sunlight and colors, and let the ghosts within the walls make themselves known. Although the photo is not really representative of the ruined church during the hot sunlight of a southern day, it does reveal the feeling I got while walking around the building.
The photo above is a combination of a lot of Picasa effects including black and white, soften and comic book.
