This is another favorite picture from Tryon Palace. I like the way the crowing rooster faces east toward the morning sun. The clouds and sky make an appealing background for the statuette and surrounding garden elements.
Did the contrast really need to be enhanced to make the chicken more three dimensional? Or is the original picture better since it shows more textural details in the brick? I like the enhanced picture better because it emphasizes the rooster as a strong focal point.
